Richard "Jay" Neeb II, 73, of Columbus, passed from this life at 8:38 a.m. Sunday, July 20, 2025 at his home. Born November 30, 1951, in Shelbyville, Indiana, the son of Richard J. and Maurita Jean Green Neeb.
Jay is survived by his beloved wife, Beth Ann Neal, whom he married on April 21, 1994.
Survivors include his wife; children, Jill, Amy and Eric Neeb, Shane (Amy) Tempest, and Russell (Lindsey) Barr. He adored his grandchildren, Andrew (Maritza) Tempest, Lillian (Cory) Tempest, Henry Barr, and Samuel Barr; and his brothers, Mike (Kim) Neeb, Morris Neeb, and Scott (Laura) Neeb. Jay was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Neeb.
Jay's professional journey as a dedicated insurance agent led to his retirement following a respected and successful career.
His passing is a significant loss to all who knew him, yet his legacy of love, commitment, and integrity lives on.
In keeping with Jay's wishes, cremation will take place, and no services are planned at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Jay many years ago when he was with Prudential Insurance. Later we worked together at an Insurance Agency here in Columbus. Jay was always respectful and kind to me. My heart goes out to the family.
