Richard Scott "Radar" Neilly

Richard Scott Neilly, 69 years old, of Westmont suddenly passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
He was the loving Father to Lauren Lakeberg, her husband Chrisb, and their dog Kai. He is survived by Kathryn Lakeberg and his siblings: Robert Neilly, Jr., Patricia Soderberg (John), Peggy Forbes (Todd), along with the entire May family.
He was born on December 31, 1955. Happy New Year!
Wildly known as "Radar" Rick; professionally known as the Chef of the Future; fanatically known as the Oooogle Bird; and a Fishing, Disc Golf and Fossil Guide Service Extraordinaire.
He was the Greatest of all Time. The 2011 Ice Bowl Champion, and had a lifetime record of 37 holes in one in Disc Golf. As a young man, he had a try-out for the White Sox.
Life was always an adventure from Illinois to Alaska, Oregon, Wisconsin and Michigan. He lived life like no other, and either knew or met someone everywhere he went. Always with a story to tell and put a smile on their face.
A Memorial (reunion) will be held at Pappa Passero's in Westmont, IL, on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm.
