Richard "Dick" Oberer

Richard "Dick" Oberer, 76, born June 16th, 1949, in Rochester New York to Robert J. Oberer and Margaret L. Oberer passed away on March 15th, 2026, in Fort Lauderdale FL.

Service/ Visitation will be held on March 26, 2026, from 4:30PM to 7:00PM at Baird-Case Jordan-Fanin Funeral Home 4343 N. Federal Highway Fort Lauderdale FL 33308.

To know Richard is to love him.

He grew up and attended school in Rochester and served proudly in the Navy from 1967 through 1971.

Richard relocated to Fort Lauderdale in his early 20's where he later met and married his wife Paulette on December 15th, 1980. Married 45 years, he and Paulette have been blessed with a beautiful, loving daughter Alexis Oberer.

Most important to Richard was his family. He was truly a loving and thoughtful husband and father. He cherished his father- daughter time at every stage, from the early sand building contests at the Hillsboro Club to the more recent golf outings.

Throughout his life, Dick loved the ocean, enjoyed travelling, boating, golfing, and friendly competitive games with family and friends. We will all miss his joie de vivre and his sense of humor.

Dick is survived by his wife Paulette, his daughter Alexis, and an extended family. He is predeceased by his two brothers Robert Oberer and Ronald Oberer.

He will be forever in our hearts and always in our thoughts. Dick was a kind and generous man.

We will miss him terribly!
