Thomas Edward Lamar

Thomas Edward Lamar, fondly known as Eddie, 65, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at his home in Sunrise, Florida after a long battle with lymphoma.

Born in Fleming County on January 22, 1961, Eddie was the son of the late Martha Skaggs Lamar and the late Omar Thomas Lamar.

He spent the last 25 years working in the Parks and Recreation division of the City of Coral Springs, Florida. Before that he had spent his life farming and trucking in Fleming County. He had a passion for cooking, travel, and animals.

Eddie is survived by his husband of 27 years, Randall Bishop; his two sisters, Debbie Ramey and Cindy (Tony) Armstrong; his four nephews, Alex, Seth, Cooper, and Carter; and his niece, Savannah.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2026, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Fritz officiating.

Eddie will be laid to rest in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Seth Ramey, Alex Armstrong, Tony Armstrong, Kent Corbin, Keith Lytle, and Shelby Hall.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Monday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
