ENID ZAFF FLETCHER PALMER was born on July 1, 1931, in Francisco, Camagüey, Cuba, the first of three children of Herman Fletcher and Mary Lewis.

Enid completed her elementary education in Camagüey, where she also studied Atelier and the English language. On July 13, 1952, at the age of 25, she married Louis Palmer, with whom she shared 53 years of devoted and loving marriage.

Following the Cuban Revolution in 1959, Enid and Louis migrated to the United States to begin a new chapter in life. While living in New York, Enid pursued her passion for beauty and professional development. She graduated from beauty school as a licensed hairdresser and beautician and later completed IBM keypunch training at the Kennedy Computer Institute.

Enid went on to enjoy a long and successful career in the hospitality industry. She worked in the Department of Interior Decoration at The New York Hilton Rockefeller Center, where her dedication and excellence earned her several awards and recognitions. After 25 years of committed service, she retired from the corporation.

Beyond her career, Enid devoted herself to community and service. She participated in numerous national and international charitable organizations and was an active member of the Spanish community in New York City, contributing her time, talents, and heart wherever she went.

Enid is survived by her son, Nestor Louvett; her sister, Cecilia Grant; her nephews, Israel and Ricardo Thomas; and her niece, Noelia Jardines.

With the deepest gratitude and the sweetest joy, we thank God for the gift of Enid's life. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, aunt, friend, and above all, a loving and extraordinary mother. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
