This is the first time I have been able to read through all of these comments and kind words. I love and miss my Dad so much, and knowing that so many of you liked him helps me get through the sad days. I know he would feel so honored, and humbled to know he is missed.

September 28, 2014

I wish to thank everyone in the Stromberg-Carlson Alumni Group, and so many others, for the sympathy, gifts, flowers, donations, and especially the kind words in honor of my husband, Richard Okolowicz, after his passing. S-C was a big part of his life for many years and being a good example as a supervisor and mentor was extremely important to him. He cared not only about the projects, but the people, as well. From the many comments you made, here and to me directly and to his children, Tracy and Tim, I know he was a positive influence to many. He would have been proud of that legacy.

I am so sorry for your loss Paula and for your entire family. Dick Okolowicz was one of my favorite people at S-C and in life. I met him 29 years ago and have played WWF with him for the past, I don't know how many years, almost every day; his friendship means a great deal to me and I will never forget him, his kind heart, and sweet, steady, strong spirit. Not being able to attend services for him because I'm in TX, my deepest condolences are with you all during this time. I miss him. I can only imagine what a lovely family he must have. Thank you for sharing his time here with me. My prayers go out to you all. ((((Hugs)))) Rest in perfect peace my friend.

I had the great pleasure of working with Dick under Dr. Dave Hinshaw at Stromberg-Carlson/Plessey Telecoms from 1983 to 1988. If here ever was a naturally 'good guy' on this earth, it was Dick. He kept cool under business pressures and never had a harsh word for anyone, be it peer, boss or worker. My deepest condolences to Dick's family and children, with our prayers for peace and comfort.

Although I have not seen Dick in several years, I retain fond memories of a man who could both give and take a joke. We were a real family at Stromberg Carlson and Siemens. We are all saddened when we lose one of the cornerstones of our family and Dick certainly was one of the strongest. My thoughts are with Paula and his family at this time. A person lives forever in our hearts from our memories of the good times and Dick certainly has a place in my heart for all of those wonderful times. He will be fondly remembered by his extended work family.
