Richard W. "Richie" Palm, 54, of Gwinn and formerly of Negaunee, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016. A lifelong Marquette County resident, Richie was born on November 16, 1961 in Ishpeming and was a Negaunee High School graduate. He was employed in the family business, The Honda Shop of Marquette for many years as a small engine mechanic. On September 23, 1983, Richie married the former Candace Jane Aho in Ishpeming and she preceded him in death on March 24, 2013. Survivors include one son, Mark Palm and his friend, Heather Havlik of Gwinn; his parents, Bill and Judy Palm of Skandia; two brothers, Steven (Bonnie Hoff) Palm and Jim Palm; a sister-in-law, Debbie Palm; two nieces, Amy Beauchamp and Danielle Palm; also two nephews, Michael Hoff Palm and Ryan Christopher Palm. Friends may call at the Canale Gwinn Funeral Home on Thursday, June 9th beginning at 11 a.m. where a memorial service will take place at 12 noon in the funeral home with Rev. Ron Westman officiating. The Canale Gwinn Funeral Home is assisting the Palm family where memories may be shared at canalefuneral.com
