Richard "Dick" Pasternak, 79, of Baldwinsville, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 at his home. Dick was born in Syracuse and retired after 28 years of service from Lockheed Martin where he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor. He was a graduate of West Genesee High School Class of 1964, a 1972 graduate of Onondaga Community College, and received his Bachelor's Degree in 1974 from SUNY Buffalo State University. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA 42 from 1965-1969. He enjoyed volunteering at the VA Hospital. Dick was a man without many hobbies, but his Catholic Schooling, Navy and Sandy Pond (49 years) stories were entertaining and endless. Dick's many comments on life will be remembered by all and bring laughter for years to come.

He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Elizabeth Pasternak and a brother, Mark Pasternak.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Mary Ellen of Baldwinsville, step son, Eric (Amee) Farrell, of Cheltenham, PA, step daughter, Julie (Lou) Migliore of Bear, DE, a brother, James (Patti) Pasternak of Ocala, FL, sister, Jeannette (Ken) McKenzie of Bend, OR, grandchildren; Madison, Emma, Morgan and Owen, nieces, Jamie and Maggie and nephew, Michael.

The family wishes to thank Tyeasha and Kate who are two amazing home health aides/nurses who worked tirelessly with Dick. Thanks to them we were able to keep Dick at home.

A celebration of Dick's life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the R.F.H.'s Hide-A-Way, 1058 County Route 57, Phoenix, NY 13135.

Contributions in Dick's memory may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088, (hospicecny.org) or to Female Charitable Society of Baldwinsville, 10 River Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
