Richard Lewis Peck, Sr., 78, of Elizabeth City, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. Mr. Peck was born in Detroit, MI on February 7, 1947. He was the son of the late Raymond Henry Peck and Mary Bednarik Peck and husband of the late Marion Elberta Gaskins Peck.
A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, Mr. Peck was a Diesel Mechanic for the Association of Maryland Pilots in Virginia Beach, VA. He was a member of The Southeastern Virginia Mustang Club, where he won a lot of awards. Richard also served as a volunteer firefighter in Prudenville, MI before moving to the area in 1987. He was a member of Journey Christian Church, Elizabeth City.
Surviving is his son, Richard Lewis Peck, Jr. of Elizabeth City.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Journey Christian Church, Elizabeth City.
