Richard Russell Pies, age 80, resided in Hillsboro, Oregon, left this earthly life for his heavenly home on Monday, April 24th, 2023 due to congestive heart failure.
Richard was born on May 17th, 1942 to Russell & Evangeline Pies in Sibley Township, Crow Wing County, Minnesota. He served in the US Navy between 1960 and 1963 followed by many years of truck driving.
At the age of 22, he married Karen Peterson and went on to have 2 beautiful children. Richard lived a life full of friendships, laughter, & lawn mowing.
He is survived by his loving wife Karen, son Garrin & family, grandson Daniel, grandson Justin, and granddaughter Tori & family. He also had seven brothers and three sisters they are: Everett, Roland, Arlo, Honey, Linda, Randy, Rick, Ross, & Ron Pies. Predeceased by daughter Dawnelle Hall and sister Roselyn Pies Garner Warrick.
Richard is to be cremated at Springer & Sons in Aloha, Oregon and be buried at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, Oregon. Services will be held on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church at 11am.
