Richard Normand Pivin Sr, 61 of Berlin, passed away Friday September 16, 2022 at his home from an unexpected heart attack. He was born September 17, 1960 to Norman Pivin and Jeanne (Tremblay) Royer in Berlin, NH. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1978. He started his career with the Army where he spent 4 years and then to Army National Guard for another 7 years. He then started working at Gorham Paper and Tissue in 1985, finally retiring September 3, 2022. He was such a hard worker and was finally ready to step back and enjoy his retirement. He had many hobbies including riding his Harley and rebuilding it often. But his love was for the snow and skiing was his passion. Always talking about fresh POWDER, and making sure to get his season passes to all the places he could. He had a great group of men that would ski and ride with him and for that we will be forever grateful.
He is survived by his significant other, Julie Doherty Labrecque of Berlin, NH; his mother, Jeanne (Tremblay) Royer and her husband Roger of Port St Lucie FL; brother, Paul Pivin and fiancée Jane of Gray, ME; sister, Susan Pivin and her significant other Steve Carignan of Hooksett, NH; his two children, Richard Pivin Jr and his wife Raegan of Berlin, NH, Samantha St. Onge and her husband Joshua of Berlin, NH; and his grandchildren, Ashlynn, Aiden, Morgan, Aubree, and Khloe. He was predeceased by his father, Normand Pivin.
A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be planned when the family has had time to grieve. His wishes were to not have a funeral or viewing and we will respect that. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Littleton. To view Richard's Online Tribute, send condolences to the family, or for more information, visit www.csnh.com.

Time goes by, everyone has there own lives. But, the memories of a time long past you never forget. I wish I knew everyone better and kept in contact. I remember Rick in my youth as a kind older brother.
I so wish the clock could be turned back for a second chance to remake the connection.

I have many memories of skiing with "Pivin" and the boys. Most recently I had been seeing him and Brad biking in my neighborhood. Rest in Peace Rick. Deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
