Richard Desher Priddey, 89, of Woodbine, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
Richard was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Priddey.
Richard was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on the 11th of January, 1936.
Richard retired from the state of Maryland and then operated his own water servicing company until the age of 88 when he moved to Raleigh, NC with his daughter Patricia, son-in-law Bill, and two grandchildren, James and Michael.
Richard was a devout supporter of the group, Alcoholics Anonymous, where he hosted meetings and mentored members struggling with sobriety. He served two tours in the United States Airforce and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sykesville, MD.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia & her husband Bill, grandsons Jason, Benjamin, Michael and James and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:30 AM at which time the funeral will begin at 11:30 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784.
Interment at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery in Owings Mills, MD.
