Richard S. Quattlebaum, 89, of Pendleton, husband to Shelby Busha Quattlebaum, passed away at his home on November 8, 2022.
Born in Chester, SC, he was the son of the late Edgar and Martha Garrison Quattlebaum. Mr. Quattlebaum is a Clemson University Alumnus (Class of 1955) and a member of Pendleton First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Shelby Busha Quattlebaum; one loving daughter, Tammy Seaman of Greenville, a grandson Russell Seaman (Kristen), and two great grandchildren Nick and Will of Greenville. A granddaughter Katy (Jon) and two great grandchildren, Pete and Davis of Pelham, NY.
Richard is predeceased by his brothers, Edwin Quattlebaum of Laurens, SC, Don Quattlebaum of Pendleton, and a sister, Martha Wright of Marshville, NC.
Richard owned and operated Greenglow Dairy Farm with his brother Don for thirty-eight years and was owner of Pendleton Antique Company for twenty-six years. Richard retired in 2004 and delighted in spending time with his family and traveling.
Richard enjoyed attending Clemon Athletics with his special friend “Doc” Hellams, collecting, and restoring antique cars and furniture. An active member of Outstanding Farmers of America, Anderson Classic Car Club, lifetime member of Pendleton Little Theater, delegate of Stornoway Scotland for Towns Twinning Ceremony, and Pendleton Merchants Guild.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Pendleton First Baptist Church, 351 S. Broad Street, Pendleton.
Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors.
