Richard Allen Reese, loving husband, father, and grandfather was born November 21st, 1962 and passed away on December 14th, 2022 at the age of 60. Richard was known for being selfless, always helping others, and loving his family. He loved his wife who is in heaven, Pamela Reese, two kids, Garret and Madison Reese, grandson Maddox Reese and his dog Joey Reese.

He was born in Indiana, where he became a talented wrestler throughout high school and  joined the United States Navy in 1980. During his time in the Navy, he was on two air craft carriers, the USS Ranger and the USS Kitty Hawk along with being stationed in San Diego where he handled a multitude of weapons and explosive ordinance. Richard traveled the world earning an honorable discharge in 1986, after his six years of dedicated service as a United States Navy Aviation Ordinance personnel.  Richard also was a martial artist, earning a first-degree black belt in karate. After his service in the Navy, he resided in Escondido, California where he married and raised a family with his wife Pamela Reese who lived joyously with him until her date of internment on January 25th, 2010.

During his time in California, he owned and operated Protection Plus Systems, a successful security system and custom smart home integration business. Richard then moved to Sherwood, Arkansas to be close to his son and daughter in 2018 and resided in Sherwood, Arkansas until his date of internment. Richard was loved and respected by many, taught his kids the value of hard work and to enjoy life’s little things. He enjoyed taking his dog Joey for long walks in the park where he would watch birds and make note of all of the fine details’ nature has to offer. He was also a huge baseball fan. He brought both his kids up to compete in sports and provided opportunities for both Madison and Garret to later on both become collegiate level athletes in baseball for Garret and field hockey for Madison.

Richard will have a memorial service at Smith Family Funeral Home in Sherwood, Arkansas on Wednesday, December 21st, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. He then will be transported back to Escondido, California by his son Garret Reese for a second memorial service at Emmanuel Faith Church in Escondido, California. He will be laid to rest next to his loving wife, Pamela Reese, and father-in-law, Donald Crnkovic, at Oak Hill Cemetery. Further details for his memorial and burial services in California will be released at a later time.
