Richard "Rick" Anthony Carrico, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on October 22, 2025, at Shanti Niketan Hospice Home in Glasgow, Kentucky. Born on January 23, 1954, in Mayfield, Kentucky, and was raised in Fancy Farm, Kentucky. Rick was a remarkable individual whose warmth, laughter, and kindness touched the lives of many.
Rick devoted 44 proud years to his career with Land of Lakes Purina Feeds as a feed salesman, where he built lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike. His dedication to his work mirrored his passion for life, reflected in his hobbies and interests outside the office. An active member of Saint Helen Catholic Church, he found joy and fulfillment in his faith community. Rick enjoyed spending time outdoors, indulging in activities such as hunting and fishing. He was known for his exuberant spirit, often dancing and listening to great music, encapsulating the joy he found in every moment. Traveling with his family was one of his greatest loves, creating cherished memories that will be carried on through generations.
Rick is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Stagon Carrico, with whom he shared 18 wonderful years of marriage. He is also survived by his daughters, Kimberly Chelf (Landon) and Jenny Beck (AJ), his stepson, Nicholas Manning, and his adored grandchildren: Emma Beck, Matthew Chelf, Kate Beck, and Rebecca Chelf. His presence will be deeply missed by his siblings, Norma Erwin (Jerry), Carol Canter, Eddie Carrico, Mike Carrico, Kay Atkins (Mike), Cindy Faulkner, and Paul Carrico (Deena), alongside his brother-in-law, Richard Hayden, and several nieces and nephews.
Rick joins in eternal rest his father, Harold Carrico, and mother, Wilmuth Carrico, as well as his brother, Ronald Carrico (Carolyn), his sisters Betty Hayden (Will Ed) and Elaine Hayden, along with his first wife, Rebecca Russell Carrico, and stepdaughter, Nicole Manning.
In honoring Rick's life, family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home in Glasgow, Kentucky, on November 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The following day, a Rosary will take place at Saint Helen Catholic Church at 10:30 AM, leading into a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. This will be a time for all who knew him to celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love and laughter, dedicated to family and community.
Rick Carrico will be remembered fondly for his joyful nature, his unwavering dedication to his loved ones, and his enduring spirit that will forever resonate with those who had the privilege to know him.
