Nancy Joann Miller, age 66, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, at Barren County Nursing and Rehab. Born on April 20, 1959, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Sylvester Charles Miller and the late Sarah Catherine (Robinson) Miller.
Throughout her career, a dedicated and beloved bookkeeper for the Kentucky State Reformatory, Nancy was known for her diligent work and meticulous care. Her colleagues remember her as a dependable and trustworthy presence, quietly ensuring that everything was accounted for with precision and grace.
Nancy’s personal joys extended far beyond her professional life. She had a special fondness for cruises, relishing the opportunity to explore new horizons and embrace the tranquility of the sea. Equally dear to her heart were her cherished pets—Toto, Oz, Jasper, and Lexie (two of whom were rescued dogs)—who brought comfort and companionship into her daily life. Their memorable presence was a reflection of Nancy’s gentle and nurturing spirit.
Born and raised in Kentucky, Nancy remained close to her family throughout her life. She is survived by her brothers, Sylvester L. Miller and his wife Kathryn of Punta Gorda, Florida, and James Anthony "Tony" Miller and his wife Barbara of Summer Shade, Kentucky. Alongside them are several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends who held her in great esteem. Special words of gratitude are extended to her aunt, Linda Honeycutt, whose support and care were deeply appreciated.
Nancy was preceded in death by her brothers, Clinton Joseph Miller, William Harold Miller, and Roger Dale Miller; and her sisters, Genevieve Borgel and Annette Kunce. Their memories live on in the hearts of all who knew Nancy, intertwining the bonds of family through loss and remembrance.
The funeral service for Nancy will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 28, 2026, at A.F Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 4:00PM until time for the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky, on Monday, March 30th at 1:00 PM.
