Richard A. “Rick” Miller, Jr., age 76 years, went to Heaven on Monday, January 19, 2026. He was born June 3, 1949, to Richard A. Miller Sr. and Helen M. Miller (nee Morrill) in Milwaukee.
Rick graduated from Boys Tech High School in Milwaukee. He then attended Milwaukee Institute of Technology and graduated with a degree in Computer Programming. Rick served four years in the United States Air Force as a radar maintenance technician. He was a longtime warehouse supervisor.
Rick was married to Debra Ann Damon on Veterans Day, November 11, 1972. The couple made their first home in Milwaukee and then moved to West Bend in 1980.
Rick enjoyed traveling to spring training with his sister, Gale and brother-in-law, John, and talking about Milwaukee Braves and Brewers. He always had a baseball game on television and was ready to recite the Who’s On First Abbott and Costello routine. He was a proud and valued member of the Moose Lodge West Bend #1398 where he played Sheepshead and the American Legion of West Bend. He was an active member at the Senior Citizens Activities Inc. where he played Sheepshead and taught Pinochle.
Rick is survived by his six children, Robert (Victoria) Miller of West Bend, Barbara (Donald Jr.) Janz of Oconomowoc, Michael (Kristyn) Miller of West Bend, Diana (Jason) Schellhaas of Colgate, Callie (Mike Santacroce) Miller of Campbellsport, and James “Jim” Miller of West Bend; grandchildren, Kendrick, Annabelle, Cameron, Dylan, Ashley, Adryon, Imojyn, Byonkah, Keira, and Logan; step-grandchildren, Vince, Owen, Karissa, and Melissa; and several great-grandchildren.
Rick is further survived by two sisters, Gale (John) Price of Virginia and Ruth (Donald) James of Wisconsin; two brothers-in-law, Greg (Donna) Damon of Florida and Mark (Patti) Damon of Wisconsin; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Debra; his father, Richard Miller, Sr.; his mother, Helen (Elroy) Stieber; and granddaughter, Emylia Danielle Miller.
VISITATION: Rick’s family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service (1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI 53095).
SERVICE: A Memorial Service in remembrance of Rick will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. A private family committal service will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield at a later date.
