Richard K. Rohrer, Sr., 88, of Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 8, 2025.

He was born in Harrisburg on June 7, 1937, a son of the late Kenneth L. and Dorothy (Lechner) Rohrer.

Richard was a graduate of St. Boniface School, the former St. Mary's High School and the former Williamsport Technical Institute, now Penn College of Technology., he was owner of the former Rohrer TV Repair, additionally he had worked at Ramin's Pharmacy, GTE Sylvania and Beiters, had assisted in wiring the Cathedral in Scranton and the former Ascension Church locally. Richard served as an assistant in the Cappelli administration and assistant helping Steve Cappelli when he was a State Representative.

Never one to be idle, he enjoyed painting still-life, first in watercolor then in oils, for the last 30 plus years he took great pride in creating family calendars. Richard was a long-time basketball fan of Bishop Neumann High School but his greatest joy was his family.

He and his wife, Pearl (Dincher) Rohrer were married January 24, 1958 and would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary next month.

In addition, he is survived by their children; Catherine Wertz, Theresa (Bill) Chichilla, Christopher Rohrer, Debra Knudsen, Gerard (Tanya) Rohrer, and Kevin (Kristan) Rohrer; Eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents; sons, Robert, Kenneth and Richard Rohrer Jr.; a daughter, Patricia Rohrer and his brother, Paul Rohrer all preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport 10:30 am on Monday, December 15, 2025 followed by burial at St. Boniface Church Cemetery.
