Richard Wayne Rolan, 64, of Houston, Texas, passed away on January 27, 2025. A loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and mentor, Richard was known for his full-hearted yet stern demeanor. He valued his family and friends immensely, treating everyone he encountered as if they were family.
Richard found joy in hunting, fishing, and playfully pulling your leg. A God-fearing man, he had a deep love for The Great State of Texas and The Good 'Ol U.S of A. His wife, Laurie, was the star in his eyes and the beat of his heart. His two sons, Richard (Ricky) and Derrick, were among his greatest accomplishments. Despite his tough exterior, his granddaughter Andrea could always warm his heart and turn him into a big soft teddy bear.
Richard's legacy is marked by the lessons he imparted to those around him. He taught everyone to take care of family and always do what's right. Now, we must carry the mantle and continue to spread his wisdom and love.
Friends are invited to visit with the family between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home - CyFair Northwest, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, Texas 77065, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A committal service will take place at Fields Store Cemetery, 26104 Schneider Rd., Waller, Texas 77484 (Use entrance 362).
Richard will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on through the many lives he touched.
