Sandra Elizabeth (Schnur) Yeager went to meet her husband in Heaven on November 21st in Houston Texas at 8:36 in the evening.
Sandra was born on December 26th 1935 in Aruba.
She lived an adventurous life while growing up in Aruba and living in Barbados, Venezuela, and Mississippi. She had a fervor for life that many could only dream of. She spoke multiple languages and lived for travel both stateside and abroad. Her ultimate joy was found with her toes in the sand, waves lapping at her feet, and a margarita in hand.
In her early adult years she flew the open skies as a Pan Am stewardess. She later attended college in Biloxi, Mississippi where she met and married the love of her life Hal. Soon after Hal and Sandra became parents to their son Ron followed by their daughter Karen several years later. As their family grew with children, dogs, and love Hal's career moved them to West Virginia, then Connecticut, and eventually relocated the family to Houston, Texas. Sandra found her stride in Houston where she owned her own landscaping company, worked in sales, dipped her toes in real estate, and her favorite of all, being a travel agent.
Sandra was pure magic. To know her was to feel like you were the most important person in the world to her. She was fiercely loyal and loving. She had a take no crap attitude and everyone knew it. She filled the room with her laughter, genuine smiles that were contagious, breathtaking sense of fashion, and unmatched class. She was truly one of a kind. Her granddaughters never wanted to leave her side and often didn't. She was one of their biggest guides and strongest supporters in all of their endeavors. She made everyone in the family feel unequivocally, deeply, and wholly loved.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers. She is survived by her son Ron and wife Marthie, daughter Karen and husband Ken, grandchildren Lauren and husband Robert, Ashley, Rebecca and husband Josh, Jacqueline and husband Trevor, Jillian, Chris and wife Chelsea, Jessica and husband Jerrod, and great grandchildren Rylie, Kingston, London, Jackson, and Kate.
Sandra was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Sandra, Mom, Nana…you'll be in every adventure we take, every flight we board, boat we embark on, and in every ocean we encounter. We'll have a margarita and some guacamole in your honor, we promise. Thank you for loving us all so well.
Interment will be private.
