Richard E. Rosbottom 90, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday afternoon, March 3, 2026 in Kerrville, Texas. He was the husband of the late Joan Rosbottom, to whom he was married for 65 wonderful years. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island. In 1982, he and his wife moved to Kerrville, Texas along with their daughter and youngest son. He was a dedicated and hardworking toolmaker and chain machine mechanic for Excell Manufacturing, Speidel, Automatic Chain, and National Chain in RI and James Avery Craftsman in Kerrville Texas. He also worked for Mooney Aircraft in Kerrville. After his retirement, he fulfilled his passion to continually strengthen his Lutheran faith as an elder in the Kerrville Lutheran Church.

Richard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had a wonderful and kind disposition. He was dedicated to his family. He was a father that was easy to talk with and would provide loving support and guidance.

Richard is survived by his three sons, Kenneth Rosbottom and partner Brenda Day of Cumberland, Rhode Island, Donald Rosbottom and spouse Patricia Rosbottom of South Kingstown, Rhode Island and Steven Rosbottom of Fredericksburg, Texas; son-in-law, Clint Cox of Sarasota, Florida. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Katie, Elizabeth, Sean and Ali; and two great-grandchildren, Shiloh and Rosalene. He was predeceased by his daughter, Susan Rosbottom Cox; and daughter in-law, Arlene Rosbottom.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service at 5:00 pm, Sunday March 8, 2026, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, 728 Jefferson Street, Kerrville, Texas. Family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm prior to the service.
