He was a member of First Gethsemane Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Mose, Rushin, Sr.; brothers, Mose Rushin, Jr., Jesse Rushin, James Rushin, Larry Rushin, Sr., and Kenneth Rushin, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Penny Rushin; daughters, Tiffany Smith and LaTrice Smith; grandchildren, Nathaniel Smith, Ta'Mya Smith and Jamie Smith; great-grandchildren, Xavier Chappelle and Za'Riah Chappelle; sister, Janet Rushin-Brown (Charles); brothers, John Lee Rushin (Georgia), Leonard Rushin, Asmar Shabazz (Aaliyah), Eugene Rushin, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation: 11am-1pm Saturday, June 15, 2024 at First Gethsemane Baptist Church, 1159 Algonquin Pkwy., funeral service to follow at 1pm, burial in Green Meadows Cemetery.
