I first laid eyes on Rick on a lacrosse field where he was Towson Senior High's goalie. Not only was he tough on the field, he was tenacious, yet fair in everything that that he did. There is a hole that he left in the collective hearts of those who knew him that goes straight through the universe. To this, he would say that "you can leave that hole as it is, or you can use it as a means to support the greater good."
Shalom,
David

I have so many fond memories of Rick when he worked with our team at ComEd Fossil Leadership and at Constellation Power Generation. I started as an OD skeptic and ended embracing The Process.we traveled among my power plants and enjoyed `side trips´ such as to the West Ridge coal mine, 5000 ft below a mountain in East Carbon, UT and a few golf courses around the country. We shared a few debates and a thousand fun times. I will never forget everything I learned from Rick and what I have tried my best to pass on to others. He is missed.

Rick's work lives on through the many organizations that were blessed by his work. His presence lives on in his friends and family that continue to experience his love and wisdom.

I was honored, warmed, and delighted to know Rick through our shared membership and involvement at St. Mark's on Capitol Hill. Rick always had something thought-provoking to contribute during Sermon Seminar. His smile and laugh were contagious, and his eyes really expressed his understanding and appreciation for what mattered to others. I'll miss Rick. Knowing him has been a gift.

This quote from Theodore Roosevelt capture's Rick's philosophy of life:
"In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing."
I never knew Rick to do nothing.
Rest well, my brother.................

I am one of Rick's classmates in the American Univ/NTL MS program in Org. Dev. During our first class weekend, I made of point of meeting Rick, because I thought there was no one in the class with a wider gulf of difference between us - me, being an African American Muslim woman from NJ. I thought, "how can I ever find something in common with THIS guy?" Well - it turns out - to the astonishment of both of us - he was my Brother from another mother! I quickly grew to love him dearly, and completely. I feel like a part of me has gone with him. My heart will miss him every time he comes to mind.

I worked with Rick for about 9 yrs at ComEd and a year or so at APAC. Rick was funny, relevant, direct and a real diagnoser of human behavior. When clients would just frustrate me my favorite saying of Ricks was "Pamela, (when he was really serious-then just Pam-you have to laugh at the absurdity of it all". Rest In Peace Rick and thanks for the memories
