Richard Galindo Salas, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away suddenly on June 24, 2025, in Glendale, Arizona. Born on May 26, 1958, in Avondale, Arizona, Richard lived a life filled with love, passion, and dedication to his family and work.
A proud graduate of Agua Fria High School, Richard’s career was marked by his entrepreneurial spirit as the owner of R & R Landscaping. He also contributed his skills and hardworking nature while employed at Bekins Moving & Storage, where he built lasting relationships with colleagues and customers alike.
Richard was known for his spiritual and competitive personality, which endeared him to those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was deeply committed to his family, a fact that resonated in every aspect of his life. One of his proudest accomplishments was marrying the love of his life, Rita Tovar, on May 18, 1990, in Glendale, Arizona. The couple enjoyed a beautiful life together, and their bond only deepened over the years.
Together, Richard and Rita built a family that thrived on love and unity. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita, as well as three daughters and two sons, who carry on his legacy. His heart swelled with pride for his 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to his life.
Richard's vibrant spirit extended beyond his family; he had a wide array of hobbies and interests that reflected his joyful personality. He cherished attending and watching any sporting event, celebrating the camaraderie and excitement that came with them. Music played a significant role in his life, with favorites like Tom Petty, Fito Olivares, and Ramon Ayala echoing the sentiments of his heart. He found delight in simple pleasures too, often preferring hearty meals of chicken wings, tacos, and hamburgers, each bite a reminder of joyful gatherings around the table.
Though Richard's earthly journey has come to a sudden end, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. The love he fostered within his family and friendships will forever echo in their memories, bringing comfort in the days to come. Richard Galindo Salas was truly a remarkable man, and his legacy will be celebrated and cherished by all who loved him.
