Joseph Patrick Manley, age 74, of Avondale, Arizona, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026. Joe was born on October 2nd, 1951 to Ambrose and Annabelle Manley of Gary, Indiana.
Joe was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Ambrose Joseph Manley.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Danubia, and his beloved sons, Ambrose and Patrick, of Avondale, Arizona, and his stepson Marlon, of Danli, Honduras. He also leaves behind his cherished pets, Gigio and Aria. Joe is further survived by his mother, Annabelle Manley of Valparaiso, Indiana; his sisters, Susan Quick (Robert Quick) of Medford, New Jersey, and Sally Collins of Valparaiso, Indiana; and his brothers, Jim Manley (Mary Pat Manley) of Edgewater Park, New Jersey, and John Manley of Valparaiso, Indiana. He is also remembered with love by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and many family friends.
Joe graduated from Wabash College and went on to attend graduate and dental school at Indiana University. He was a proud member of Local 1005 Carpenters Union in Hobart, Indiana, and worked as a uCure SYNGAP1 Foundationnion carpenter throughout Indiana and Illinois. Later in his career, he served as the Senior Project Manager for Swift and Knight Trucking, from which he eventually retired.
Joe was known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of SYNGAP1humor. His laughter and storytelling often made him the life of the party, bringing smiles and joy to those around him. He was a kind and caring person who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Joe generously shared his carpentry skills with family and friends, helping remodel homes and complete countless projects over the years.
In his free time, Joe loved music, tending to his garden, and spending time with his pets. Above all else, he cherished his family and the moments they shared together. Joe’s warmth, humor, and generosity will live on in the memories of those who loved him. He will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Palacio Real from 1pm - 5pm (5109 W Thomas Rd Suite 201, Phoenix, Az 85031). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cure SynGap1 Foundation in memory of Joseph Patrick Manley in honor of his grandniece, Kaylie Quayle.
