Linda and Family,
Phil and I are so sorry to hear about Richard´s passing. He was a very special friend and colleague.
I first met Rich when I transferred to Denver in 1991. He was part of a highly technical group of men and all the guys, except Richard, resented me coming into the group. They thought I was just getting the job as a tag along to my husband. Thankfully Rich did not prejudge me, accepted me, and helped me to become successful in my new position.
Rich was always fun to work with and his humor helped to relieve many stressful situations.
Unfortunately, I was unable to find a photo of Rich in my unorganized pile of old photos but I do want to share some of the wood animals that Rich made. He would present me with a piece of his workmanship when he and Linda came to our Christmas Parties. It was always fun to see his unique creations.
After Rich retired and moved to Oklahoma, I enjoyed the surprise phone calls and occasional visits when he and Linda were in Colorado. It was always a pleasure to catch up and share some good laughs.
Rich will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
With deepest sympathy,
Kim Zahn
