Richard Earl Schauppner, devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, passed away peacefully in Denison, Texas, on Friday, October 24, 2025. He was surrounded by the enduring love of his family and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion.
Richard shared a beautiful life with his wife, Linda Schauppner, whom he cherished deeply through every season of their years together. Their partnership was rooted in love, laughter, and endless support, and together they built a home filled with warmth and faith. More than that, they built an unwavering team-one defined by mutual respect, steadfast devotion, and a bond that grew stronger with each passing year.
He was a proud father to Cheri and Matt, guiding them with patience, humor, and the steady wisdom that only a father's love can give.
Richard's greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren-Tyler, Aleaha, and Ashton-each of whom brought immense happiness and pride to his heart. His stories, gentle encouragement, and infectious smile will live on through them forever.
Richard was preceded in death by his loving parents, Earl and Marge Schauppner, and his sister, Kay. He leaves behind his sister Nancy, who shared with him a lifelong connection filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories that will continue to comfort her in the days ahead.
Richard's life was defined not only by his devotion to family but also by his quiet acts of service, his integrity, and his ability to make everyone feel valued. He appreciated the beauty in life's simple moments-morning coffee with Linda, time outdoors, and the closeness of good friends. Those who knew him will remember his generosity, his steady nature, and the way he made people feel seen and loved.
In accordance with his wishes, no formal services will be held. The family encourages those who knew and loved Richard to honor his memory in their own special way-by sharing a story, lending a helping hand, or spending time with loved ones, just as he always did.
