Richard "Dick" Scott, age 89 of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2026.
Dick grew up in St. Paul and worked for the City of St Paul Parks & Rec Dept as an accountant for more than 30 years before taking an early retirement. He was also self-employed as an income tax preparer, utilizing personal computers from the time that they first became available.
Dick enjoyed improving his home with various projects over the years, following Minnesota sports teams, and hanging out in his home office on the computer. Nursing home staff (mostly) appreciated his sense of humor.
Dick is survived by his daughters, Kaye (Stuart) and Kelly; and sister, Joyce (Ben).
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lucy; parents, Glenn and Louise; infant brother, Ronnie; and 2 beloved Bichons, Nick and Minkey.
Services are planned for the Spring - check back at a later date for more information.
