Richard Silsby Obituary
PORTVILLE --- Richard D. Silsby of 8849 Deer Creek Road, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the Olean General Hospital.
Richard was born on July 23, 1975, in Olean and was the son of David A. and Alice M. Blauvelt Silsby.
Richard was a 1995 graduate of Olean High School. He then began working at Reiss Game Farm, where he worked for the past 25 years. Richard enjoyed spending time with his son and camping.
Richard is survived by his mother, Alice M. Silsby of Booneville, MI; his loving fiancée, Leighann Washington of Portville; a son, David A. Silsby of Portville; a step daughter, Maddison L. Stermer of Portville; five sisters, Susan A. (Tony) Nardozzi of Geneva, Linda C. Pomerow of Booneville, MI, Jacki L. (Mike) Falk and Tina M. (Jeromy) Farr both of Olean and Sherry L. Silsby of Geneva and many nieces and nephews.
Richard was predeceased by his father.
A celebration of life will be held at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.

Richard was basically my brother growing up, he was always with my brothers, at my parents house almost everyday. He would do anything for anybody a great guy. He will be missed. My prayers are with his family.

Richard was such a nice and funny guy. I will never forget the time he spent basically living with my family when we were teenagers. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
