Richard Smith April 9, 1962 - May 30, 2025 Richard Smith, 63, passed away on May 30, 2025. Raised in Dearborn, Richard was a husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Nichole, and his son, Andrew. Richard is also survived by two adult children, Amanda and Derek (Amanda), as well as granddaughters, Olivia and Savannah. He is also survived by his sister, Judy; his mother, Shirley; and his brother, Randy. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert. Richard was a man of many passions. He loved being near the water and found peace in swimming, tubing, and summer trips up north. He especially enjoyed time spent driving the pontoon boat. He had a passion for sports - whether it was shooting hoops, tossing a baseball, enjoying a round of golf, or playing a competitive game of baggo with friends and family. He also enjoyed relaxing with video games, finding enjoyment and connection through friendly competition. Holidays with family were especially meaningful to Richard. At Christmastime, he looked forward to thumbprint cookies - a frequent tradition. In the fall, he was part of the Halloween fun: carving pumpkins, going trick-or-treating, and claiming the unwanted Whoppers. These moments of warmth and laughter are fondly remembered by those who shared them with him. His life, like so many, was a mix of challenges and cherished moments - and he will be remembered with love for both. We hope he found peace and carries only what was good and has let go of the rest.
