Richard Sommers, Jr. Obituary
Richard Sommers, Jr. (Richie), age 61, passed away unexpectedly & peacefully on January 16, 2024. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 20, 1962. Richard was an avid Colts fan and loved the horse tracks, NASCAR, and 70's music. He is the beloved son of Colleen Shannon and the late Richard Sommers, Sr; loving step-son of the late James Shannon; devoted husband of the late Karen Sommers; caring father of Jackie Mitchell, Robert Sommers, and the late Richard Sommers, III; cherished brother of Dawn Fromm and Michael Sommers. Richard is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may gather at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Halethorpe, MD 21227 for a Memorial Gathering on Tuesday, January 30 from 3:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. A Memorial Service will begin at 7:00pm.
