Richard St. Sauveur Obituary
Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Oliver and Edna St. Sauveur.
Dick worked as an administrative aide at Electric Boat in Groton, CT. A US Coast Guard veteran, he was also a life member of the VWW Harley P. Chase Post, a member of the Westerly Armory, the Workmen's Club, and a former member of the Bocce Club. He had also previously volunteered with the Dunns Corners and Westerly Fire Departments.
He leaves behind his sister Sandra St. Sauveur of Westerly; a niece Jaime Nutting and her husband Justin of Narragansett; as well as his great-nephew Levi and great-niece Lilly. Dick was predeceased by his sister Susan Pihlkrantz and brother-in-law Gary Pihlkrantz; and niece Grya Pihlkrantz.
A Funeral Service will take place at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly at 12 noon on Tuesday, January 24th. Burial is private. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com

I met Dick at EB in the early 90's. He was a very decent guy and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. We remained friends until he retired and lost touch. He loved his family and told countless stories about his niece. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to his family.

So saddened by this loss. Richard was a regular of mine at Honey Dew, and before that, he was my bus monitor when I was about 10/11 years old. I began working at Honey Dew at 15, where he and i kicked it off immediately after recalling being on his bus. I worked there for just shy of 14 years and left there about a year ago- I just found out about his passing this morning. This is so sad. I am sending all my love and condolences to the family and keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers.
