Richard Swindler Obituary
Richard was born February 15, 1931, in Gallipolis, Ohio, the son of the late Judd Swindler and Bonnie (Day) Swindler. He was united in marriage to Janice Marie (Newsome) Swindler, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Larry Swindler; six grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) Swindler, Jamie (Michael) Martin, Phillip (Tonya) Swindler, Nathan (Kendra) Swindler and Brandy (Ryan) Foster; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a great great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice Marie (Newsome) Swindler son, Anthony Swindler; grandson, Judd Swindler, daughter-in-law, Brenda Elliott Swindler, and nine siblings.
Richard was veteran of the United States Airforce and loved to golf.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 17 2025, at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Grandson-in-Law Mike Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service on Monday. with internment to follow at Evergreen Union Cemetery on Denver Road, Waverly, Ohio. Graveside Military Rites by American Legion Post #142
