Richard Charles Tennyson
April 18, 1942 – November 15, 2025
Richard Charles Tennyson, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025 at the age of 83. Born on April 18, 1942, Richard lived a life full of love, dedication, and family.
He shared many wonderful years with his long-time partner, Donna Freimiller, who was his steadfast companion and friend. Richard was a devoted father to E. Scott Tennyson (wife Sarah), Sandee Tennyson Skinner, and his late daughter Sherri Tennyson Seling (husband James). His family was his greatest joy, and his legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Gregory Tennyson (wife Julea), Corey Tennyson (wife Mirtha), Jessie Seling Hollman (husband Matt), Craig Seling (wife Jess), Holly Tennyson Gosnell (husband Mike), Keith Tennyson (partner Carlos Vargas) and Jack Skinner.
Richard was also blessed with a growing family of great-grandchildren: Finley Tennyson, Veda Tennyson, Mathias Tennyson, Mila Tennyson, Jax Seling, Skylar Seling, Mason Gosnell, Declan Gosnell, Everett Gosnell, and Geneva Gosnell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Tennyson and Marie Tennyson, and his beloved daughter Sherri.
Richard will be remembered not only for his warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family, but also for his passion as a model airplane enthusiast. His meticulous craftsmanship and joy in flight reflected his creative spirit and patience.
A viewing will be held at Lassahn Funeral Home,Inc., 7401 Belair Road, in Overlea on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral services to follow on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, in honor of his memory.
