A true Tennessee Vols fan, Richard loved listening to a wide range of music, from rap and old country to 90s alternative and gospel.

He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Alice Thomas, Adelaide Ratterman, Henry Renz, and Elliana Rumph; his daughter Mariah's fiancé, Zachary Rumph; and his siblings, Julie Jones (Jeff Jones), Misty Gilmer (Kent Gilmer), Sonya Conner (Mike Conner), and Stacy Thomas. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces whom all loved him dearly.
