Richard retired from S&K Sales Company in 2007. He received many awards for outstanding achievement and made many long-time friends. He never met a stranger, and you could always count on him for great advice and many laughs. One of his greatest joys was his family. He especially loved taking his grands on fishing trips, making memories they will never forget. He loved his church family at Believer’s Worship Center. He was a member for 25 years and served on the board of Directors. When it came to fundraisers for the youth department, he always volunteered to go fishing and donate lots of fresh white perch. Richard was a big fan of LSU and loved those Fighting Tigers.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Tilley; three children: daughter, Debbie Eppinette, and husband, John, of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Suzanne Lynch, and husband, Merwyn, of Aubrey, TX; and son, Richard Tilley, Jr., and wife, Lesley, of Baton Rouge, LA.
