Everyone is so far away. No more back yard cook-outs or meeting you & Betty for a drink. You have quite a gathering with you now. Keep an eye out for us here. Missing you.

Hi, I see I've missed a couple of years in placing anything in the guest book. Time is flying by & so many changes in our lives. We no longer can all gather at your house, or Judy's house, so many have joined you & Betty for that reunion in the sky. I'm leaving you in charge (you always were) ; to make sure everyone is having a good time. Hugs & kisses to all. Missing you but never forgetting. Always in my heart.

Where did the time go? 5 years have passed & they've been so really crazy years. Pandemic for 2 years with really scary happenings. Uprisings , forest fires & devastation everywhere. I think the world's going to hell in a handbasket. I so miss our times together with Vatters & Horgans. I feel that you're probably gathering people for drinks & paying their tabs.
Love ya ,

We lost you 4 years ago, wow doesn't seem possible. Lots of changes, some good some not so good but we move on. I do miss your smile & they way you brought people together & made them laugh. Rest in peace. Till we meet again. Love ya, Bobbie

Can it be possible that 3 years have gone since we lost you? Unfortunately so many more of our loved ones have joined you. I do miss our times together but you're in a better place with no pain or sorrow. It's a strange place down here right now & you wouldn't like it at all. Enjoy your rest ... till we all meet again Roberta Horgan

Richard J. Vatter's middle initial should be G. for generous. He was generous with his heart, love, time & money. Always there to help & make you feel like family. I never knew him as a butcher, or Betty as the grocery owner, that would have been really special.
It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to this many faceted man, a sailor, husband to Betty, butcher, fireman, father to a very talented & loving daughter Judy, Uncle to many & friend to a multitude. You will be missed!

I'm sorry for your loss. Mr. Vatter is fondly remembered. He was always kind to the kids in the neighborhood. We purchased pretzels from the glass jar on the counter. Also remember seeing him at Our Lady of Mercy. God Bless him. Lynette A
