RIP "Uncle" Rich Waddell. Deb and I both last heard from you on Fathers Day (6/15). I don´t know when or how this happened, but the news is sad and shocking.
We called you Uncle Rich when we first started working with you back in 2008, you "knew it all". Eventually we called each other "sugar" and it started cuz you always bought gum making you our "suga" daddy! It eventually stuck all these years as an affectionate greeting and goodnight-between us, whether in text or phone call.
No one checked in on me or Deb Hudson, like you did every week to nearly daily I´ve known you since 2008 when we worked at Keihin in the molding dept. I´m gonna miss all the stupid dad jokes and the advice that you gave, whether I wanted it or not. You took care of me and my daughter when we moved to a house, giving us great housewarming gifts including a lawn mower, which you were the king of repairing, and tried to retire from, but was too good at your job. Without asking, you made me a beautiful oak rolling cutting board and an oak hammer I could protect myself with and a cute painted bird. Woodworking was a hobby but you were so good at it. You put up with endless pics of mother of the groom/bride pics and gave me a man´s input. Any gossip you heard about former co-workers was mutually shared and you never missed a birthday wish. We were honest with each other and valued that part of our friendship above all else. My heart is broken and I´ll never forget you!

May we continue to honor and respect all the lessons we have learned; acting as living symbols of a loving spirit. You are in our prayers.
