Richard "Rick" J. Wall, 75, of Hatfield, longtime companion of Susan Gilbert, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Lansdale Hospital.

He was born April 1st, 1950, in Trenton, NJ and was the son of the late John Edwin and Helen Ann (Durkay) Wall. He grew up in Newtown, PA and attended Council Rock High School.

Rick was a United States Air Force veteran. He worked for many years as a Quality Control Supervisor at Siemens, formally Moore Products. He attended Drexel University, where he earned multiple certifications related to his field.

Rick was a member of the Cannoneers Sportsmen Club in Lansdale, enjoyed fishing and boating, and loved spending time at their house in Florida. In his early years, he was a softball player and skilled bass player who performed with multiple bands. He also enjoyed videography, filming weddings and other special events. Rick was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.

In addition to his companion of 25 years, he is survived by his daughter Jessica Wall (fiancé Kevin Miller); Jerry Gilbert (husband of Juliandra); Joel Gilbert (husband of Gabrielle); and his grandchildren, Ryan, Tori, Jake, Lizzy, Wyatt, Ryann, and Reagan.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10:00 to 10:45 am at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at 1:00 pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, 1244 St Paul's Church Rd, Pennsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to VMSC Emergency Medical Services of Lansdale.
