Ronald F. Sobetsky

Ronald F. Sobetsky, 79, of Hatfield, died Monday, February 23, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Karen (Cophaver) Sobetsky.

Born January 21, 1947 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Frank and Angela (Van Den Broeck) Sobetsky.

Ron was employed in the insurance industry for many years, most recently with Insure Direct, Lansdale, where his customers became his friends.He was an avid bowler in his young years, and he was a devoted New York Yankees fan through all of their wins and losses. He also looked forward to family vacations in Wildwood, NJ.

Ron will be remembered for his generous heart and the love he held for his family and friends. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, a cherished brother, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, whose presence meant the world to his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Donald Sobetsky (Lisa) of Lansdale, Mark J. Sobetsky (Raquel) of Lebanon, PA, Sandy Sobetsky of Norristown, and Dawn C. Sobetsky of Harleysville; his step-son, Rocco Granese of Hatfield; 14 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; his sister, Vivian Eddis of Lansdale; and two brothers, Michael Sobetsky (Jonnie) of Cheraw, SC, and Frank Sobetsky (Jayne) of Hatfield.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Sobetsky; and sister, Teresa Sobetsky.

Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2026 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
