Richard D. Weaver died January 26, 2026 at Brookdale Northampton. He was 92 years old.
Dick was the beloved husband of the late Marguerite Lafferty Weaver. The couple shared over 60 years of laughter, love and fond memories.
Born in
Philadelphia, PA to George C and Dorthea Berry Weaver, Dick is the father of the late R. Douglas Weaver, and brother of the late Dorothy, George and John Weaver.
Dick graduated from LaSalle University with a BS in Business Administration. He also served his country in the US Marine Corp with an honorable discharge in 1955. He then married his sweetheart, Marguerite in 1956. They were gifted with four children, R. Douglas, Timothy, Mark and Maureen, and eventually nine wonderful grandchildren, Stephanie, Megan, Mark Ryan, Timothy, Nicholas, Dylan, David, Lauren and Chandler, and two great granddaughters, Evelyn and Adeline. His professional career was spent in management positions with RCA, America Cyanamid and New Jersey Hospital Association (Center for Health Affairs).
Upon retirement, he decided to give back to his community in Newtown Township where he served as a board member on Parks and Recreation, Township Supervisor and Auditor and Committee member, Board of Directors for Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority, Chairman of Board of Northampton Senior Center, Board Member and Treasurer of Bucks County Association Township Officials, Board of Directors of Good Friends Inc. Above all, his greatest times were spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet Dick's family on Wednesday, February 4th from 6:00pm, until 8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home at 800 Newtown Richboro Road (at Holland Road) in
Richboro, PA 18954. A greeting will also be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 81 Swamp Road in
Newtown, PA 18940, from 10:00am until 11:00am, until the start of his Funeral Mass. His interment with military honors will take place privately, on a different date.
