Richard L. Wilds

Richard L. Wilds, 88, passed away Tuesday morning September 6, 2022. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
He was born April 26, 1934 in North Vernon, IN to Edward and Florence Hulse Wilds. He married Dortha Gookins on December 19, 1952. She preceded him in death August 12, 2014. Survivors include two sons, Lance B. Wilds of Greenwood and Stephen Wilds of Indianapolis; one daughter, Kathleen Wilds John of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren, Evan Wilds, Keri Wilds Brown, Derek Wilds, Marcus Wilds, Laura Walradth, Chad John and Warner Wilds; eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son, Russell Wilds; two brothers, Robert and James Wilds; and a sister, Margaret Grinstead.
Richard was employed as a supervisor for over forty years at EW Mold & Tool in Indianapolis.
He was a member of Southport Masonic Lodge #270, F. & A.M., Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, and the Murat Shrine.
Visitation hours will be from 1-4PM, Saturday, September 10, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street. A Masonic funeral service will begin at 4PM, followed by a traditional service by Rev. Cleon Wright. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens next to his beloved wife, Dortha.
