Attica, NY - Richard Woika, 56, of Attica, NY, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Born in Warsaw on April 24, 1969, Richard lived a life deeply rooted in caring for his family and friends, cherishing every moment and finding joy in the small pleasures of the world around him.

Richard was a graduate of Attica High School. Though disabled later in life, Richard was formerly known to be a very skilled professional welder. An avid outdoors man and hunter, he spent countless hours exploring nature's wonders and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life like sitting around a fire with good friends and laughter.

A devoted fan of the Cowboys and the Sabres, Richard's enthusiasm for sports was matched only by his passion for music with his favorite bands being Slayer and Pink Floyd. His zest in life was evident in his stories and laughter, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his beloved children, Haley Woika of Pavilion and Joshua (Kyleena) Woika of Byron, who will forever cherish his memory. He was a proud grandfather to Walter and Kharma, and found joy in spending time with his grand-dogs, Rorry and Gemma. Richard also leaves behind his brother, Jackson (Kathie) Woika, and nephew, Clayton Lounsberry and his daughter Ainsley, who will all hold dear the many memories shared.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Woika and Joyce (Reed) Woika, and his loving sister, Cherylynn (Kenneth) Lounsberry and their son Jackson, joining them in eternal peace.

Arrangements are under the compassionate care and supervision of Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Attica, NY. A Celebration of Life honoring Richard will be held in the Spring, where family and friends will gather to pay tribute to his colorful spirit and the indelible mark he left on their hearts. Updates on Richard's celebration of life will be made available when further planning can be done.

In Richard's memory, donations may be made to: K9's for Warriors, 114 Camp K9 Road, Ponte Verda, Florida 32081.
