Richard Eugene Woodruff passed away at his home in Wolfe City, Texas on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the age of 71. He was born on November 24, 1954 in Aberdeen, Maryland to parents, Kenneth Eugene Woodruff and Marilyn Yvonne (Grubbs) Woodruff.
He married Mary Lynn Blanton on July 10, 1979 in Rockwall, Texas. Together they had two sons.
Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn Woodruff, sons, Jason Woodruff and his wife Angela, and Justin Woodruff. Grandchildren: Courtnie Wittkopf and her husband David, Katie Gamble and her husband Sam, and Abbie Woodruff. Great grandchildren: Dexter Wittkopf, Isla Wittkopf, and Eleanor Gamble. Richard is also survived by Sister-in-law, Susan Smith and her husband Scott, Nieces and Nephews: Dustin Hollowell, Kendra Roquemore, Sherri Herrman and her husband Alan, Colby Wardlow and his wife Jessica and a whole host of cousins, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & Marilyn Woodruff, and one brother, Mark Woodruff.

Ricky was one of my favorite journeymen when I was a GM apprentice... he always had me laughing. My favorite saying of his was "keep on living" Rest in peace Ricky.
