Richard C. Woolsey, 83 of Marion, Indiana, passed away at his home on Friday, April 25, 2025.
Richard was born on May 12, 1941, in Winslow, IN, to Edward and Edith (Hayes) Woolsey. He graduated from Van Buren High School and worked for the Marion Police Department most of his life. Richard enjoyed helping out on the farm, spending time with his family, and handyman / construction work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Richard "Alan" Woolsey in 2009, and siblings, Peggy Richardson, David Woolsey, and Vicki Turnock.
Loving survivors include his son, Bill Woolsey of Fishers, IN, daughter-in-law Leah Woolsey of Marion, IN, grandchildren, Elizabeth (Chase) Kahn and their children, Harper and Cooper, of Marion, IN, Tracy (Tim) Persinger and their child, Maycee, of Marion, IN, and good friends, Steve Stewart of Marion, IN, Sherri Oswalt, and Neta O'Brien.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember on Wednesday, April 30 at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home located at 201 W. Main St. Van Buren, IN 46991 from 5 PM to 7 PM. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM on Thursday, May 1 with Pastor Robert Morrell officiating. Burial will follow at Van Buren Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home in Van Buren, Indiana.
