Richard Wooten Obituary

He was a member of Harbor Lights Baptist Church.
R.L. opened Wooten Auto and Wrecker Service in 1965 and worked there until he retired in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Wooten; and daughter, Susie Wooten.
R.L. is survived by his sons, Richard (Kim) Wooten and Ronie (Angie) Wooten; grandchildren, Megan Hillis, Connor Wooten, Alicia Daniels, Dewayne Wooten, Michael Wooten, and Kevin Wooten; 10 great-grandchildren; and niece, Pam Eller.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, August 15, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastors Malcom Harris, Sam Barrett, and Jim Powell officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Angland, Kenneth Wilbanks, Guy Yates, David Wallin, Carl Chapman, Richard Cameron, and Dennis Alexander.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 14, at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
