COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Ricky Kevin Clark, a beloved member of the Cookeville community, departed this life on Wednesday December 31, 2025, at NHC of Cookeville. Born on May 29, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio, Rick was known for his warm heart and his enduring faith.
Throughout his life, Rick exemplified a deep love for the Lord, a principle that guided him in all aspects of his life. He was a cherished member of Bear Creek Baptist Church, where he was recognized for his genuine spirit and steadfast commitment to his beliefs. Rick had a special talent for poetry, often expressing his thoughts and feelings through the written word, which touched the hearts of those around him. A true people person, he was loved by many and built lasting relationships throughout his life.
In addition to his fervent faith, Rick relished spending time at the Cookeville Senior Citizen Center, where he socialized and engaged with others, bringing joy to their lives. His generosity and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone he met.
Rick is survived by his sisters, Rhonda Hall and Sharon Russell, and his brother, Dennis Clark (Renny). He was preceded in death by his parents, John William and Elma Lorene Clark; his brother, John Douglas Clark; and his sister, Kathy Johnson.
A funeral service honoring Rick will be at 1 p.m. Saturday January 3 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Danny Hembree will officiate. Visitation for friends and family will be from 12 - 1p.m.
Rick will then be transferred to the Dowell and Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, KY for additional funeral service on Monday at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Clark Cemetery in Climax, KY.
