Rick Crone
Tupelo- Roderick “Rick” Dean Crone, age 70, passed away on November 3, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born on August 4, 1955, in Mansfield, Ohio to Calvin Crone and Madge Byerly Crone.
Rick and his family made the move to Mississippi when he was nine years old, paving the way for his life path. When he was young, he was on a youth baseball team, where they won the State Championship. He had a few careers throughout his life, including a barber for 30+ years, a Boy Scout Ranger, and owned R&P Home Repair.
He married the love of his life, Pam, on August 10, 1973, after dating her since the ninth grade. He was a wonderful man who lived a life full of happiness and love. Some of his favorite past-times were fishing, hunting, bowling, and skiing. He was an avid lover of the outdoors, football, and Nascar. He loved his family more than anything; they were always at the forefront of his heart and mind.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pam Hall Crone of Tupelo; sons, Neil Crone and his wife, Teresa, of Tupelo and Caleb Crone of Tupelo; grandchildren, Dylan, Daniel, Sarah Roper, and Savannah Roper; brother, Steve Crone and his wife, Joanne, of Brewer; sister, Denise Carnathan of Tupelo; sister-in-law, Jerri Lou Crone of Mantachie; brother-in-law, Wyatt Hall of South Carolina; nieces and nephews, Scott Carnathan, Tony Crone and his wife, Ann Frances, Lisa Carnathan, Cristy Jack, Jenny Ericksen and her husband, Joey, Katie Herring and her husband, Jake, Geordan Hall of Jackson, and Rian Hall of Jackson; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Madge; brother, Greg Crone; nephew, Kevin Crone; and father and mother-in-law, Joe and Betty Crenshaw Hall.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Pegues, Tupelo with Steve Crone speaking. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time Thursday.
