Rick Howell, "Squire Rick Howell" 64 of Casper, WY passed away on November 5, 2023.
Donnie and Erna Howell welcomed Rick Howell on September 26, 1959, in Hobbs, NM. Rick attended school in Hobbs, graduating from Hobbs High School in 1977. After high school Rick moved to Casper, WY and started working in the oilfield. He held many different jobs including working on drilling rigs, pipe inspection, and was part owner of Rainbow Inspection. When Rick wasn't working, he loved to hunt, fish, hike, and rock hunt.
Rick was the life of the party and was always up for a good time, the Horseshoe Bar was usually the scene of the crime. He was a father figure to many "kids" in his life and was always ready to lend a hand to them (weather he actually helped or not). Rick had a huge heart for his family, blood or chosen and had a special relationship with each and every one of them.
Rick is survived by three children he helped raise and considered his own, Regina (Jon) Shatwell, Marcus (Crystal) Howell, and Brandon (Davey) Howell. He is also survived by his brother Alan (Judy) Howell as well as grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Erna Howell and his father, Donnie Howell.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00am on June 8, 2024 at Washington Park in Casper.
