Rick Kerns, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 29, 2025. Rick was such a wonderful person, he would do anything for anyone, give you the shirt of his back if you asked. He was loved by everyone he met. Rick loved the outdoors, fishing, going to casinos and playing cards every Saturday with his family.

He was such a hard worker, working at Dixie Yarns for many years. He also was a carpenter and worked with his brother in his automotive shop.

He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, friend and the life of the party.

Rick will be forever missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Margie Kerns, daughter, Stephanie Kerns, sisters, Diane Blevins and Kay Simmons and niece, Barbara Jean Rogers.

Rick is survived by his wife of 40 years, Billie Marie Taylor Kerns, daughter, Tammy Neel (Todd), son, Michael "Woody" Clayton (Selena), brother, Gene Kerns (Brenda), sisters, Judy Vandergriff (Danny), Karen Kerns (James) and Joyce Tudors (Wayne), grandchildren, Crystal Carden, Christopher Forshee , Kayla Burns and Willow and Harper Lynch, nephews and nieces, Tyler Kerns (Amanda), Brittany Travis (Jayden), Chris Kerns, Wes Tudors, Jonathan Tudors, Jeff Huff (Faye), as well as several great grandchildren and extended family.

Services will be private with the family at a later date.
